Tamil Nadu Textile Corporation Limited,

established on April 24, 1969 is a fully government owned company operating under the Companies Act 1956.

Objectives

A brief of TNTC's primary objectives for the Tamil Nadu Textile Industry.

Textile Mills

TNTC's primary objective is to establish and operate textile mills within the state of Tamil Nadu.

Textile Business

It is authorised to conduct Textile related businesses in all their aspects and manage activities relevant to the textile industry as a whole.

Reviving Closed Mills

TNTC can take over and manage textile mills in Tamil Nadu that are either closed, facing financial difficulties, or have gone into liquidation to provide employment opportunities and contribute to economic revival.

Management of Government Industries

If the Government of India takes over any textile mill in Tamil Nadu under the Industries (Development and Regulations) Act 1951, TNTC can manage and control such mills.

Cotton Spinning & Weaving

TNTC is also involved in cotton spinning and production of yarn, cloth and other textile goods. It can establish powerloom units within the State.

Government Flagship Schemes

TNTC serves as the Nodal Agency for the supply of uniforms and the distribution of sarees and dhotis under Government schemes.

Auto Loom Shed

Location: Kurichi Facilities | Coimbatore District
Kurichi Auto Loom Shed: Acquired on February 10, 1994 at cost of Rs. 18 lakh. This shed is situated within the Coimbatore Corporation limits, covering 0.35 acres. Production commenced in April 1994 and the unit currently operate with 24 looms.

Kurichi Airjet Weaving Unit: This unit houses 10 airjet looms with a width of 250 cms.

Production in Power loom Complexes

The powerloom complexes at Kurichi produce uniform cloth for school going children under the Distribution of Uniform Scheme and the Distribution of Sarees and Dhoties Scheme of the Government of Tamil Nadu, as well as suiting, shirting, sarees and cloth for various public sector undertakings.
